South Of The Border

New In July, 2004

This new show has the punch of a full band. I've prerecorded drums, bass, and background guitar solos. Some of the most complex I've done to date. Close your eyes and you'll hear four more of me. I just can't play it all live!

There have been many great Spanish influenced songs over the decades. How many youngsters would watch a Gene Autry film on a Saturday afternoon, in the 30s and 40s. At least ten songs in this program were sung by Gene as he rode the range. Who can forget the fabulous Cuban entertainer Dezi Arnez, a.k.a. : Ricky Riccardo! I couldn't resist Cuban Pete. It seems everybody got in on the act from Bing Crosby, Pete Seeger, Frank Sinatra, Willie Nelson, even the Richie Valens rock 'n' roll hit La Bamba is included. The music is diverse and spans five decades from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, & 70s.Get out your maracas and shake! OLE!!!!
