Apricot MultiMedia Presents:
Dan Sullivan - EntertainerA Century Of Hope
New in May, 2003
UPDATE !!!!! As of January, 2004 this show has the punch of a full band. I've prerecorded drums, bass, and background guitar solos, and vocal harmonies. Close your eyes and you'll hear four more of me. I just can't play it all live!
A tribute to a great American entertainer. A man who could make us laugh whether we were at war or at peace. Bobs milestone 100th birthday was May 29, 2003. Hear songs from radio, television, films and songs sung by Frances Langford. Between the songs, hear Bob's life story step by step, including vaudeville, Broadway, radio, movies, TV and of course his extraordinary relationship spanning nearly six decades, with our service men and women. Frances Langford, Tony Romano, Patti Thomas and Jerry Colona were a big part of that special support for the armed forces.
Bob said "I left England at the age of four when I found out I couldn't be king. Little did I know, all I had to do was cross the channel to Denmark and I could have been queen!"
For several years I've offered a special thanks to our veterans, for what they have done for our country. Adding this closing to a tribute to the man who has done so much for our soldiers and sailors is like combining bacon and eggs, jam and toast, pork chops and apple sauce... Well, you know what I mean. They compliment each other. Ward Grant, Bob's spokesman told me every service person who has seen Bob has his or her own story to tell. I've heard so many of them from the veterans themselves, I could write a book. Hey, maybe I should. Regardless, I'm pleased to help to carry on the tradition.
Thanks for the Memories Bob!
